Green Island (綠島) floats on the sea of the east 33km of Taitung City that was called old times "Kasho-to (火燒島)", and is an island of area 16.2km2 and about 3,300 people. This island consists of the volcanic rock, and has a coastline complicated because of the erosion of a longtime weathering and seawater. Also in a beach of strange rocks and bizarre stones, the rias coast, and white sand and green meadow and world, clear sea and a lot of plants etc. to boast of the transparency of an unusual hot spring of bottom of the sea, a coral reef, and eminent Taiwan make Green Island a sea paradise from a mere formality to the east part coast.
